Why do I need to upload my profile PDF?
LinkedIn does not allow other websites to read profiles — its rules block all automated access — so a link alone cannot show us your headline, About section or experience. LinkedIn’s own “Save to PDF” file contains all of them, so the checker reads that instead and reviews your profile in seconds.

How is my LinkedIn profile score calculated?
Your profile is scored out of 100 across six areas, weighted by how much each one affects being found and contacted: headline, About section and experience (20 points each), skills and credentials and keywords (15 each) and your profile link and contact details (10). Photo, banner, recommendations and activity are not in LinkedIn’s PDF, so we list them as checks to do on your profile.
What is a good LinkedIn profile score?
80 or more is a strong profile. 60–79 is a good base with clear gaps. Below 60, fixing the top three issues the checker lists will make the biggest difference.
Does the score affect my ranking in LinkedIn search?
The score is our guide, not a number LinkedIn uses. It reflects the parts of a profile that LinkedIn and Google can read and that people look at before they get in touch.
